Can you believe we're in August already? The summer holidays hit us hard today with a smaller turnout than usual consisting of just the 16 runners. Despite this Marshalls were very vocal and supportive throughout the event.
This month witnessed all runners taking on the challenge of the 5k. First lady home was Rachel Anthony with an impressive time of 24:06. A huge well done to young superstar Harry Chamberlain. Harry came 1st in the 3k race at the July Edition and he returned and was brave enough to take on the 5k this month, even leaving a little in the tank for a sprint finish with the Marshall's cheering him home.
Speaking of Marshalls a huge well done to the support team this month. Race Director for the month Oli Braybrook did a fine job along with his team of Mark, Vicki, Mike, Mickey and Steve. A big thankyou for giving up your free time and ensuring the race goes ahead.
Lastly a special thankyou for cwc regular Chris O'Donnell who kindly gifted all marshalls and runners some Kinder products at the end.
We welcome you back in September!
