I got into running at the age of 48 after saying I'd never run, I hated it at school. I got talked into doing the couch to 5k and since then I've never looked back. I wouldn't say I find it easy but I would say that I now enjoy it. What are your running goals for the future? My current focus is on Holkham 70:30 Outlaw Triathlon in July. |

5k time: 20 minutes 15 seconds 10k time: 41 minutes 40 seconds Half Marathon time: 1 hour 37 minutes 7 seconds Marathon time: 3 hours 18 minutes 25 seconds How did you get into running? I got into running in 2013 by signing up for a charity run at the Robin Hood Half Marathon after losing my Grandad to Cancer. I caught the bug and was looking for a club when I found Kads. I had a couple of good years but I picked up an injury that I didn't treat and unfortunately fizzled away. During covid I began to run again out in the trails and quickly got the bug back. I returned to Kads in 2021 rebuilding old friendships whilst also meeting a lot of new one. What are running goals for the future? Short term is to recover from an injury with a view to a long term plan of running a Triathlon and then revisiting the Marathon for another shot at it. |

I got into running as a teenager through my dad Rob Bailey who is one of the founder members of Kads. This is my third stint with the club and there's just something about Kads that keeps bringing me back! Since my return I've fully enjoyed being part of the club again after years of running solo. It's been great to meet lots of new faces and reacquaint with older ones too. What are your running goals for the future? My goal has been to run a marathon. I've entered events in the past but do to untimely injuries and also a pandemic it hasn't materialised yet. I'm hoping my return to Kads will inspire me to get there. |

What are your running goals for the future? My goals at the moment would be to go sub 40 for a 10k. Next year I'd also like to do an Ultra Marathon as well as explore the idea of running another full distance triathlon. |

5k time: 24 minutes 8 seconds 10k time: 54 minutes 22 seconds Half Marathon time: 1 hour 56 minutes 18 seconds How did you get into running? I completed the NHS couch to 5k app during Spring 2021, solely to improve my fitness. After finishing the app I got up to 5k within 30 minutes. Someone mentioned to me that I should join a club and I thought I'm not quick enough to join a club. I joined Kads in January 2022 thinking I'd keep to 5k and nothing more. The support I've received from Kads has taken me from 5k, 5 miles, 10k to Half Marathon and even Sheffield trial enduros runs. What are your running goals for the future? Smash some of my pb's from 2022. I'd also like to run a marathon before I'm 40. |

5k time:22/23 mins 10k time: 48/49 mins Half Marathon time: 1 hour 47 mins Marathon time: 3 hours 59 mins How did you get into running? I always liked the idea of running and i did my first 5k race for life in 2005 in memory of my dad. My first half marathon was the Robin Hood Half Marathon in 2010 and it was the furthest I'd ever run! I had a bit of a break and then got back into running for another Robin Hood appearance in 2014. I loved it and decided to enter the full marathon the following year. Once I'd completed it I then joined Kads for encouragement to continue running throughout the winter. I've never looked back and made so many friends along the way. I enjoy the social side as well and even had Kads representing at my wedding and hen do. What are your running goals for the future? Goals for the short term include achieving some new pb's. Long term i would like to do some more field events and maybe try a triathlon. |

5k time: 29 minutes 42 seconds 10k time: 1 hour 3 minutes Half Marathon time: 2 hours 33 minutes How did you get into running? I got into running initially through race for life some years ago. I would train for a few weeks, do the race then not run again for the rest of the year. Then a lady at my boxercise class talked me into going along to her Monday night running group which later became known as Bercs. I didn't think a "proper" running club was for me but I met a few Kads there and I was eventually persuaded to join by my other half Nick who had joined himself a few months earlier. It was definitely one of my better choices!! What are your running goals for the future? I haven't got any set goals at the moment apart from continuing to keep moving and enjoying myself. |

The year after i ran the 28mile version of the course finishing 3000m of altitude in the incredible Zermatt Valley, quite the buzz that was. What are your running goals for the future? To break the 3 hour barrier at the 2024 London Marathon. It's going to be hard but I'll give it a go. |

But since joining the club I haven't looked back, I've benefitted from both the running and social aspect of the club. I'm very proud of being part of the run leaders group and seeing fellow Kads develop their running and smashing pb's. What are your running goals for the future? I sort of fell into it a few years ago. After beginning my weight loss and fitness journey I wanted to be an all rounder at most things but at that time running was a weak area of mine. When starting my current job I had the flexibility to run on my lunch breaks. It started off with a couple of 5ks a week to now running most days and pushing the distance as much as I dare!! If you're in Kimberley there's a good chance you've seen me running. What are your running goals for the future?
